What will homelearning look like in the Totara Room?


Below, you will find your weekly home learning sheets.

Instructions:

  • Download the new homelearning sheet to your own file (for example, on your desktop at home)
  • Complete your homework by typing in the answers.
  • Print off a hardcopy to glue into your homelearning book.
  • Load your home learning sheet up to your own wiki page so that you have an electronic record.
  • Your teacher will mark the hardcopy that is glued into your homelearning book and make comments throughout the term on your wiki page regarding regularity and quality of your work.
  • Your homelearning book is due EVERY MONDAY MORNING for marking. You MUST remember to bring your homelearning book on Mondays!
  • Spelling lists can all be found on our Spelling Page.


There is an expectation that each week the students will:
  • Read every day, with the length of time at each year level being slightly different.
  • Practise their word power, sound for the week, in a variety of ways.
  • Learn their list of spelling words.
  • Practise the weekly basic facts list in preparation for the weekly basic facts check.
  • Complete tasks on Maths Buddy (more information to follow)

As the year progresses, additional homework tasks will be added.

Home learning sheets will be uploaded to this page before each new week.

Spellings and basic facts will be assessed on a Friday and students will maintain a graph record to clearly show their progress.
Students are always welcome to learn extra spellings/basic facts each week.
